    Welcome to ProData. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our websites, submission and peer review systems, and any related services (“ProData Sites”). By using ProData Sites, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.


    1. Scope of Services

    ProData is a multidisciplinary, open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing original research, reviews, and scholarly communications across all academic fields. Our services include:

    • Manuscript submission, peer review, and editorial management.

    • Open access publication of accepted articles.

    • Communication channels (e.g., newsletters, updates, author notifications).


     

    2. Eligibility

    • Authors, reviewers, editors, and readers must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent.

    • By submitting a manuscript, you confirm you have the authority to represent all co-authors and grant the necessary rights for publication.


     

    3. User Responsibilities

    By using ProData Sites, you agree to:

    • Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and submission.

    • Not use ProData Sites for fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful purposes.

    • Respect intellectual property rights, confidentiality of peer review, and community standards of professional conduct.

    • Refrain from uploading viruses, malicious code, or engaging in unauthorized access attempts.


     

    4. Manuscript Submissions

    • All submissions must be original work and must not be under consideration elsewhere, unless explicitly permitted by ProData’s policies.

    • Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any copyrighted material included in their work.

    • Submissions undergo editorial and peer review in accordance with ProData’s editorial policies, which may be updated from time to time.

    • ProData reserves the right to reject or retract content that violates ethical standards or legal requirements (e.g., plagiarism, data falsification, conflict of interest).

    5. Open Access and Licensing

    • Articles published in ProData are made available under a Creative Commons license (default: CC BY 4.0, unless otherwise stated).

    • Authors retain copyright but grant ProData the non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, and promote the work.

    • Readers may freely access, share, and reuse published content in compliance with the license terms.

    (Modeled after PLOS ONE and eLife’s open access licensing framework.)


    6. Privacy and Data Use

    Your use of ProData Sites is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.


    7. Fees and Payments

    • As an open access journal, ProData may charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) for accepted manuscripts.

    • Fees, if applicable, will be clearly communicated during submission.

    • All payments must be made through approved methods. Failure to pay may delay or prevent publication.

    (Similar to PNAS Nexus and PLOS ONE fee policies.)


    8. Third-Party Services

    ProData Sites may include links to third-party websites or tools. We are not responsible for the content, privacy, or practices of third parties. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.


    9. Disclaimer of Warranties

    • ProData Sites are provided “as is” and “as available.”

    • We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that content will meet your expectations.

    • To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProData disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement.


     

    10. Limitation of Liability

    • ProData, its editors, publishers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of ProData Sites.

    • Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the fees you paid (if applicable) for article processing.


     

    11. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ProData, its staff, editors, and partners against any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of ProData Sites.


    12. Intellectual Property

    • ProData’s trademarks, logos, and platform materials remain our exclusive property.

    • Unauthorized use of ProData branding or site content is prohibited.


     

    13. Termination

    • ProData may suspend or terminate your access to the Sites if you breach these Terms or engage in misconduct.

    • Termination does not waive any rights or obligations accrued before termination.


     

    14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

    You agree that any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of ProData Sites shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Jersey, USA, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

    15. Changes to Terms

    ProData reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of ProData Sites constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
