    Article Processing Charges (APCs)

ProData is a fully open access journal. To support the costs associated with high-quality editorial processes, rigorous peer review, digital hosting, long-term archiving, and unrestricted public access to all published articles, we charge an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of a manuscript.

    APC Amount

The standard APC for ProData is: USD 650 per article

Note: There are no submission fees. Charges apply only upon acceptance for publication.

    This fee covers:

    • Editorial management and peer review
    • Typesetting and formatting
    • DOI registration and indexing
    • Long-term digital preservation and open access hosting

    Waivers and Discounts

We are committed to equitable access to publishing and offer a generous waiver and discount policy to support researchers with limited funding:

    • Partial waivers (typically 50%) for authors from low-income countries or those without institutional support.
    • Discretionary waivers are available upon request for researchers facing financial hardship, including early-career researchers and those from underrepresented institutions.

Waiver requests can be made during the submission process and will not influence editorial decisions.

    Funding and Reimbursement Options

Many institutions, funders, and national consortia support open access publishing. Authors are encouraged to:

    • Check whether their institution or library provides APC support.
    • Explore whether their research funder covers open access publication costs.
    • Refer to Plan S or transformative agreement guidelines where applicable.

    Transparency and Ethics

Our APC model aligns with the principles of transparency outlined by COPE and the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA). Editorial decisions are made solely based on the quality and integrity of the research and are never influenced by ability to pay.
